Community Bank Mundaring
Community Investment Program
The role we play
Through our Community Investment Program, we have proudly invested more than $5million into local organisations, community groups and initiatives that make a real difference across the Mundaring Hills and surrounds.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to supporting projects that create meaningful, lasting impact. We know that when our communities succeed, our region prospers.
By partnering with local organisations and combining resources, we help strengthen community connections, create opportunities and contribute to a thriving local future.
How the Community Investment Program works
Where funds come from
Community banking is different.
The success of our Community Investment Program starts with our customers. Every account opened, loan approved and banking relationship established through our Mundaring branch contributes to the profits that fund local projects and initiatives.
When customers choose to bank with us, they are not just managing their finances. They are helping create lasting benefits for the entire community.
Every customer helps fund our community
Every time a local individual, family or business chooses to bank with us, they help generate the profits that can be reinvested into community projects.
The more people who choose to bank locally, the more we can return to our community through grants, sponsorships and community investment programs.
We reinvest up to 80% of our profits into initiatives that support the people, organisations and volunteers who work hard to make our region an even better place to live.
Funding is finite
While we are proud to reinvest in our community, the funds available for community investment each year are limited and are directly linked to the strength of our branch.
That means every funding round requires careful consideration to ensure we achieve the greatest possible community impact.
While banking with us is not a requirement for every funding opportunity, we encourage organisations to consider the broader impact of their banking choices. Banking locally helps generate the profits that make future community investment possible.
Assessment process
Applications are not assessed on a first-in, first-served basis. After the round closes all applications submitted are assessed alongside others received.
This ensures a fair and consistent evaluation process, with decisions based on:
- Community benefit
- Strategic alignment
- Available funding
- Project viability
- Overall impact on the Mundaring Hills community
By assessing applications collectively, we can ensure all applicants receive equitable consideration, and funding is allocated where it can deliver the greatest benefit.
What makes a strong application
Successful applications generally:
- Demonstrate a clear benefit to the local community
- Show how the funding will create measurable outcomes
- Include realistic budgets and achievable timelines
- Demonstrate collaboration or community partnerships where appropriate
- Align with the objectives of the Community Investment Program
How to get involved
Great communities are built by passionate people.
If your organisation is creating positive change, delivering innovative projects or making a difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply for community investment funding.
We are committed to making funding decisions that are fair, transparent and focused on delivering meaningful outcomes for our community.
Every application is carefully considered, recognising there are many worthy projects and limited funds available in each funding round.
Beyond funding
We value long-term relationships with community organisations.
In addition to funding, we may also support projects through:
- Promotion and marketing support
- Staff and director volunteering
- Attendance at community events
- Introductions to other organisations and community networks
Together, we can create stronger outcomes and greater impact across our region.
